Mark Joseph was Inspired and forever changed by witnessing the virtuosity of “The King of Blues” (BB King).  Shortly after he was gifted his first guitar in 1991, at the ripe age of 10.  The subsequent decades, two thousand plus live shows, five full-length albums and multiple EP’s, have permanently written Mark Joseph into the sonic history he was inspired by so many years ago. Yet the blues was the common thread throughout for this Minnesota born singer, songwriter, and guitarist.

2020 finds Mark Joseph showing no signs of slowing down with the recent release of his new full-length album, “The Musician and the Muse”.  The blues is front and center as Joseph explores both his expansive songwriting skills, and his explosive ability to make the guitar sing, cry, or even challenge fans to question what is possible with a pic and some strings.  In collaboration with the prolific and accomplished LA-based producer Steve McCormick, this record is a true snapshot in time, building upon the blues of the past, yet carving out a place for Joseph that is uniquely his own.
The Musician & The Muse features guest appearances from:
 – Richie Hayward (Little Feat) Drums on “Walk To The Water”
 – Stanley Behrens (WAR/Canned Heat / Willie Dixon) on Harmonica
 – John Avila (Oingo Bingo/Lukas Nelson/Neil Young) on Bass
 – Toby Lee Marshall (Koch-Marshall Trio) on Hammond Organ
“The Blues is my home.  A place filled with emotions, the past… an uncertain future.  Dark, light, it’s all there.” – Mark Joseph
